Paula's Miracle In Progress: Moving......again!

Moving......again!

They moved Paula to Select around 11:30 this A.M. The move went well. Paula was restless when she got there, so they put a pain medicine patch on her which would take a while to take effect. Sedation doesn't seem to help Paula much.....pain medicine does....so she IS in some pain. But they got her neck collar off, no tubes in her nose/throat, she still has a lot of bruising.....so we're looking for good things soon!

Leigh and I are going to leave around 3:00 A.M. to pick up Scott at 6:45 in the morning....I didn't want to tell him about Paula while he was with his....."LOVE" (Luchi) in Argentina. There wasn't anything he could do.....and I didn't want to tell him over the phone.....so I chose to pick him up in the morning and tell him face to face.

I was looking thru my Daytimer book today, trying to organize all the medical/insurance stuff and I found a sheet that I had put in there some time ago that had Deutoronomy 28:2-8 on it....it's very fitting for Paula

Hello, I found you quite by accident...although there are no accidents as our steps are ordered ot the Lord...yes? I was searching blogger.com for Medical Technologists (as I am one) and this page came up - immediately caught my eye when I saw "Assembly of God" as I was raised in an A/G church... decided to check it out...

...and wanted you to know that I will be joining you in lifting Paula up in prayer! I am praying for her complete healing, as well as for all of those involved in her life...to "get" the lesson that God is trying to teach you through all of this! Our God is an awesome God and through Him you will have the victory! I'm confident that He will complete the good work that He has started and pray for your hearts to align with His timing...for that can be the hardest part - when we want things to happen now and for some reason, God is on a different timeline.

May you be blessed today! I will keep checking back! In the grip of His love and grace...Deb

The Station........

Tucked away in our subconscious is an idyllic vision. We see ourselves on a long trip that spans the continent. We are traveling by train. Out the windows we drink in the passing scene of cars on nearby highways, of children waiving at a crossing, of cattle grazing on a distant hillside, of smoke pouring from a power plant, of row upon row of corns and wheat, of flatlands and valleys, of mountains and rolling hillsides, of city skylines and village halls.
But uppermost in our minds is the final destination. On a certain day at a certain hour we will pull into the station. Bands will be playing and flags waiving. Once we get there so many wonderful dreams will come true and the pieces of our lives will fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. How restlessly we pace the aisles, damning the minutes for loitering--waiting, waiting, waiting for the station.
"When we reach the station, that will be it," we cry. "When I'm 18." "When I buy a new 450 SL Mercedes Benz!" "When I put the last kid through college." "When I have paid off the mortgage!" "When I get a promotion." "When I reach the age of retirement, I shall live happily ever after!"
Sooner of later we must realize that there is no station, no one place to arrive at once and for all. The true joy of life is the trip. The station is only a dream. It constantly outdistances us.
"Relish the moment" is a good motto, especially when coupled with Psalm 118:24 "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." It isn't the burdens of today that drive men mad. It is the regrets over yesterday and the fear of tomorrow. Regret and fear are twin thieves who rob us of today.
So, stop pacing the aisles and counting the miles. Instead, climb more mountains, eat more ice cream, go barefoot more often, swim more rivers, watch more sunsets, laugh more, cry less. Life must be lived as we go along. The station will come soon enough.

My Prayer for Paula

Psalm 18
For the director of music. Of David the servant of the LORD. He sang to the LORD the words of this song when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He said:
1 I love you, O LORD, my strength.
2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn [a] of my salvation, my stronghold.
3 I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.
4 The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.
